Hotel V Frederiksplein ★★★

Very nice hotel friendly staff. Good location

There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Asked staff no issues I collected a kettle from downstairs. I thought this would be something standard.

Location was great, just a few minutes walking distance from Heineken Experience, Rijksmuseum and Museumplein. Train station in front of the hotel. Hotel lobby very modern, with a fireplace so in these winter days is so nice to spend some time there. :)

Our room wasn't in the main hotel building. We needed to get out next to the reception and go into another building which was lower quality, not soundproof at all, stairs very tight. Our room was very very cold, we increased the heating on the radiator, but nothing happened. Honestly, not valued for the amount we paid.

Good location and rooms were small but worth the low price.

We were in a basement room and it was very noisy in the morning as it was next to the toilets and I think the cleaners were around

The location was quite good and easy to find from the airport . Also, it's close to the city centre and major attractions in Amsterdam. The Heineken experience is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel and so are many other interesting places. I also saw the booking.com building at the city centre, lol

My roam was quite small. There was no provision for making tea or coffee in the room or at least drinking water.

Exceeded my expectations

A bottle of water in the room would be great.

The hotel was lovely, and the staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The rooms were clean, and functional. The breakfast was delicious, well presented and quite healthy!

The room was tiny, and that was really the only thing that felt a shame - it was quite expensive for the size. I'd avoid rebooking at that price for this reason; I think we just left booking a little late.

Found the bedroom lighting poor. Inadequate for dressing applying make up ect. Bedroom floor dangerously slippy if feet are wet exiting small bathroom.

The style was great, the location was perfect. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating!

The lift! Very old and very small! Don’t want to get stuck on that baby. And the stairs were pretty steep and narrow. Maybe not the safest if carrying luggage down them.

The room could definitely use renovation (had some mold spots and signs of water damage). It was tiny but this is not a big issue.

I've been brunching at the Lobby of Hotel V Nesplein for years, so I when I saw a good price and included breakfast at one of their increasingly numerous locations, I jumped at the chance to stay the night. I came in with high expectations, and they were mostly met. I thought the staff in particular was excellent, and I really appreciated the room service.

This particular location has these tiny basement rooms, which come with breakfast. I have zero complaints about the size of the room. It was tiny and it came with breakfast, as promised. What rubbed me the wrong way is that there's a normal room for the same price, but without the breakfast, and it felt like they were trying to get me to switch at every opportunity. The first time it felt like maybe they were offering me an upgrade, but the more they brought it up, the more it felt like some kind of scam, like somebody had the "clever" idea to use these tiny basement rooms as loss leaders to lure people in with the promise of a low price and free breakfast. Then, after they've booked a room based on that promise, try to coax them into what feels like an upgrade for the same price, knowing that in the end, they'll get the breakfast anyway and end up paying more. Don't get me wrong. The tiny room does exist. They did let me have it, and it's not like they were pressuring me with some hard sell. It just came up a lot, and it felt transparent and gross. Other than that, the facilities were nice and everything was clean, but the whole place felt a little worn, like it's time for a refresh, or at least a coat of paint.

Room was a little too bare bones

Location, cleanliness, friendly staff, cosy decoration.

They put together 2 singles beds to make one bed for couples. Then, the bed become uncomfortable.

Nice continental breakfast and rooms clean, reception and sitting area homely with the fire

The twin beds put together with a topper me and my partner were both rolling into the middle

The room is very small and really dark. As there is almost no daylight coming in the room the lighting should be a bit better and stronger .

Great location, close to restaurants, parks and centre.

A bit small bedroom bu it wasn’t a problem for 2 days only.
